Located in the Dublin Mountains, Ticknock has more than 30km of singletrack which includes 5 blue, 5 red and 6 black mountain bike trails. The routes are all waymarked and easy to follow.

With spectacular views over the Capital City and Dublin Bay it’s no wonder that Ticknock is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the east coast of Ireland. The trails are all signposted and easy to follow with multiple map boards along the route.

The Ticknock Mountain Bike Trails are managed and
maintained by Coillte.

The Dublin Mountains Partnership and Coillte opened the first 8km section of mountain bike trail at Ticknock on 8th May 2011. For more information see Ticknock MTB trails.

Coillte have four other designated mountain bike recreation areas in Ballinastoe, Co. Wicklow; Derroura, Oughterard, Co. Galway; Ballyhouras, Co. Limerick/Cork and Portumna Forest Park, Co. Galway. Family cycle trails are also available in Curraghchase and Portumna Forest Parks.
